I know of dozens of marriages that are not JWs that have stayed intact. However, over the years I’ve known of dozens of JW marriages that have broken up; some remarried only to break-up again. So much for happy family life in the borg!
As for my union, odds are good that my marriage (no credit due the JW religion) is here to stay!

Now we know how the WTBTS comes up with their nonsense, gobbledygook blood doctrine, new generation understanding, disfellowship and shunning teachings, to name just a few. Assuming that this is the GB’s method of Bible Study and how they arrive at their interpretation of Scripture; p ar 18 says: “Someone would raise a question. They would discuss it. They would look up all related scriptures on the point, and then, when they were satisfied with the harmony of these texts, they would finally state their conclusion and make a record of it.”
No mention of calling upon Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit or Jehovah God to weigh in on the matter. Its’ just as many of us figure, a bunch of old farts (at WT headquarters) making up rules and the R&F having to pay the price. Sounds like to me a recipe for disaster!

when i was watchtower witness and pioneer i recall how we used to abuse the hours at the field service.... getting up in the morning, and doing street work..after the street work going to the kindom hall for the field service, and the at the territory.
after finishing the territory continue some street work in order continue reporting the time.. so starting at 8.15 in the morning, then stop at 9.15 to drive to the kindom hall, and around 9.50 we were getting at the territory.
then after the 2 hours preaching(and usually 85%of the people were not home and the rest show no interest at all, and after 2 coffee brakes, finishing at 12.00. then going some street work at the center of the town until 1.00. so we used to report 5 hours!!!
Another thing to consider are the very high number of very young children who are counted as ‘publishers’ and whose time is included in the 1.7 billion hours. Come on, how productive can these little ones honestly be in teaching and preaching?

No way! The WTBTS boasts a total of 1.7 billion hours in 2011 in the ministry. Hogwash! The actual productive time is miniscule, meager, teeny, teensy weensy.
One half of the 1.7 billion hours is spent at donut shops or on coffee breaks alone. Another large percentage is spent waiting and setting in a car while someone is making a return visit on someone who is not home. Don't forget that most of the travel time is included in that 1.7 billion hours.
Yah, right JWs spent 1.7 billion hours last year actually preaching and teaching! Its' all about exaggerate, fabricate, amplify and inflate the numbers to make JWs look greater and bigger and better than they really are to the world.
Now they've stooped even lower and dropped the auxiliary hours to 30 hours in the month of March to pump up the hours even more.
i now find it idiotic that i could ever beleive the bible to be the inspired word of god.....,throughout the bible "god"has only dealt with a few of his favoured spokespersons to deliver his messages to a minority populace.individuals at first,..... then, patriarchs,nomads,a small nation,ignoring all other nations that had sprung up.......,abandoning his chosen nation,sending his "son"to a small nation, only giving them his pearls of wisdom,much of what was not even recorded for prosperity and remember he never wrote a word,it was left up to other imperfect humans to record what he was supposed to have said,just a smidgen......,again ignoring the bulk of humankind keeping them in ignorance of his plan for universal salvation,leaving it all up to imperfect humans to spread this message of salvation, whom he has already condemned for their sinfullness and disobedience.i just find it so unbeleivable.
in the 6000 years of recorded history only a fraction of the earths population,maybe less than a third have ever heard of the god of the bible, or his so called plan to redeem humankind ,thats millions and millions of people.
( india,arabic,afghanistan,pakistan etc.etc.).
I find it odd that God would entrust his sacred secret to some old lame-brain nincompoops who call themselves the ‘Faithful Slave’, who get sidetracked with such nonsense as: A no blood doctrine and an unloving and harsh disfellowshipping and shunning policy and wind up making these the focal point in their ministry.
Instead of the Kingdom of God, the first thing that pops into the mind of the average ‘worldly’ when the name Jehovah’s Witnesses is mentioned if its’ not …..”you’re the fanatics that will allow your loved one to bleed to death”; its’…..”you’re the organization that practices harsh disciplinary measures”; or …..”you’re the party poopers who don’t celebrate birthdays, holidays, toast, and the like”
Yah, I can see why the Almighty and Jesus selected the WTBTS to deliver the Bible’s life saving message.

Regarding your commentary on Par 8: I’ve heard it said that modern day Mormons are stuck with an embarrassing history thanks to the likes of Joseph Smith & his early teachings.
Thanks to your continual research countless JWs are likewise becoming more and more embarrassed and are waking-up when they read the early teachings of the likes of Rutherford and Russell and compare them to current speculative JW understanding of scripture. Keep up the good work! Your mission and ministry are greatly appreciated.

today i added a new article to my blog addressing overall mortality suffered as a result of watchtowers blood doctrine.
to the best of my knowledge this is the first attempt at such an extrapolation based on data gathered that is both verifiable and offers sufficient information to measure frequency in this particular patient population (jehovahs witnesses).
You've heard of staunch Catholics. Well, I have a friend who is a staunch and loyal JW whose medical issues are ARBC related. His doctor tells him that he'd better get his affairs in order because he is that close to death's door. And unless he gives his doctor some leeway, he's going to meet his maker sooner than he thinks. This friend is all the more determined to stay the course!
It is indeed sad to see worshipers of Jah the WTBTS needlessly throw their lives away, especially when it is related to this witless and senseless blood doctrine.

Par 13 says: "Elders, for instance, are appointed by holy spirit." What a load of crap!
The process of selecting an individual to the position of 'Elder' is much the same process as when one joins a men's club: (1) At a meeting of the BOEs prior to the CO's visit a member of the body of elders brings up a name for review. (2) Each member of the BOEs is given an opportunity to comment on the candidate; what he likes about him or what he doesn't like about him; his performance in congregation etc. Some consideration is given to how he measures up to the Bible. If there are, say, 12 elders on the body then you can have as many as 12 different opinions or more on whether this character deserves to join the club or not. Sometimes the discussions in the selection process can get quite heated up due to emotional & friendly ties to the elder contender or lack there of. Holy Spirit never has a say on the matter, in fact one wonders if HS is even in the building! (3) It goes to a vote. (4). Nothing is final until the CO puts his two cents in.
The same process is used for the selection of MSs.
